Client: Tanger Med Port Authority · Contract value: MAD 22,000,000
The Story
Tanger Med handles container traffic for a large share of Morocco’s foreign trade. When the port’s IT operations outgrew their existing rooms, the authority needed a data center able to carry terminal operating systems, customs interfaces and security platforms without a single unplanned interruption.
What Did Netis Do
Building a TIER III room from the structure up. Civil works came first — floor load analysis, structural preparation, fire-rated partitioning — before any technical lot arrived on site. The room was then equipped with In-Room free-cooling and a cold aisle containment system, sized on projected rack density rather than day-one load.
One energy and safety chain, one contractor. Electrical distribution, NOVEC detection and suppression, access control, video surveillance and the building management system were installed and commissioned by the same team, handed over under a single acceptance report.
The Results
- TIER III architecture delivered on a port operating around the clock
- Free-cooling and containment specified to contain long-term energy spend
- Civil, power, cooling, fire, security and BMS accepted under one contract
