Sector: Hospitality · Location: Marrakech, Morocco · Installed capacity: 880 kWc

The Story

Air conditioning, kitchens and laundry give a hospitality site a load curve that tracks the sun closely, which is ideal for self-consumption. The constraint was visual: nothing could be visible from the guest areas or alter the silhouette of the buildings.

What Did NETIS Do

We used the flat roofs and service terraces, keeping the array below the parapet line so it reads as part of the building rather than as equipment added to it. Cable routes follow existing technical shafts. The inverter room was integrated into the plant room instead of being built as a separate enclosure.

The Results

Consumption during the hottest hours, when cooling demand and tariffs are both at their highest, is now largely covered by on-site production. The installation is invisible from every guest area.
