Sector: Commercial offices · Location: Accra, Ghana · Installed capacity: 420 kWc
The Story
The campus had no usable roof surface: rooftop plant and technical equipment took nearly all of it. What it did have was a large open staff car park under full sun, and a management team that wanted its energy commitment to be visible rather than hidden on a roof.
What Did NETIS Do
We built a carport canopy over the parking areas, carrying the array on a steel structure sized for local wind loading. Electric vehicle charging points were installed beneath it and fed directly from the canopy above them. The structure was set out so the canopy reads as part of the campus architecture from the entrance.
The Results
Office loads peak with the sun, so self-consumption is high. Staff gained shaded parking and charging, and the installation is the first thing visitors see.
