Sector: Industry, off-grid · Location: Bamako region, Mali · Installed capacity: 1.6 MWc with battery storage
The Story
The site ran entirely on diesel generation. Fuel logistics, not the fuel price, were the real cost: deliveries over long distances, storage on site, and production stopping whenever a delivery was late.
What Did NETIS Do
We built a ground-mounted array alongside battery storage and kept the existing generators as backup rather than as the primary source. The control system prioritises solar, then storage, then the genset, and switches between them without operator action. Remote supervision reports state of charge and fuel level continuously.
The Results
Generator running hours dropped substantially and with them the fuel logistics that had been the operational constraint. The site now knows its own energy position in real time instead of discovering it when a tank runs low.
